Burger Up update: rule changes and production tweaks February 25, 2016 12:12 by David Scott

It's never an easy decision to tweak a game that's just days away from going into full production. But at Rule & Make we'd rather get it right than take the easy route out!

Thanks to the dedicated work of some early play testers in our home state of Queensland, we recently had a good a chance to really interrogate the scoring system, especially when it comes to the 'Prestige' and 'Renovate' functions. Not only that, but we've updated the end game scoring for 'Most Top Buns' and 'Most Prestige', as well as for both type of spatulas ('Clean' and 'Dirty').

Beyond the rule tweaks, we also made some final decisions about the physical specifications of the game after poking and prodding the white box sample we got in February. (And lets face it; look and feel in a tabletop game are just as important as the qualities of the game itself, and we're absolutely determined to deliver the best product we can.)

So what does all this mean? In short: larger tokens, a bigger (and thicker!) box to house them, more coins and a change to the finish on the coins.

You can read a full wrap up on all of the precise changes on our Kickstarter Campaign Updates page here, or you can watch the 'TL;DNR' version with the team below.
